Another policeman who beat to death father of MMA champion in Moscow region sent to remand prison by court
Earlier, Oleg Shishkanov was placed under house arrest.
Moscow city court cancelled house arrest for a police officer Oleg Shishkanov who beat to death Sulli Yunusilau, a father of MMA champion, in Moscow region. He was sent to a remand prison. This was reported by the victim’s son - Magomed Yunusilau posted this on his Instagram.
Another alleged attacker is a police officer Dmitry Blinov. He was arrested in early April. The third suspect is an employee of police Pavel Popov. He is under house arrest. Chernovik reported that Popov’s lawyer gave a certificate of pregnancy of his wife to the court.
Criminal case against the police officers was initiated under articles Intentional Infliction of a Grave Injury (item 3 of article 111), Exceeding Official Authority (article 286 of Russia’s Criminal Code). The investigation theory is that on April 11, policemen beat to death a father of MMA champion - 46-year-old Sulli Yunusilau - in Moscow region’s Orekhovo-Zuevo. After that, they escaped the scene. The victim was taken to a hospital with brain injury. In a week, he died in a hospital.
The victim’s son is 2 times world champion of MMA Magomed Yunusilau. He had earlier accused court of jaundice after the hearings related to measure of restraint as to one of the officers. In his words, the judge behaved in a rude way. And the lawyer belied the victim by stating the latter had a knife in his hands at the moment of the attack.
The cadets have been found guilty of an Attempt at Murder by a Group of Persons by Previous Concert and for Mercenary Reasons (part 3 of Art. 30, part 2 of Art. 105 of the Russian Criminal Code). They do not plead guilty.
