Altai welcomes Prosecutor General's Office team
Alexander Kurennoy said that the audit of local officials is scheduled.
On May 14 more than 20 employees of the Prosecutor General's Office arrived in Gorno-Altaisk with an audit of officials and law enforcement officers of the republic activities. The results of the review will be announced soon.
The official representative of the Prosecutor General's Office, Alexander Kurennoy, confirmed the fact of the audit and added that it is scheduled, last week such verification was held in Kabardino-Balkaria.
Public prosecutor of the Altai Republic Nikolay Militsyn said that the employees of the supervisory department are engaged in checking of the Altai Prosecutor's Office and all the organs controlled by it. He also assured that the audit was not caused by any problems in the region, and explained a large number of employees of the Prosecutor General's Office by the fact that the area had not been checked for a long time.
Militsyn also added that it is checking of the transfer of the lands belonged to the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (RAAS) to the region by the government in 2010 on behalf of then-President Dmitry Medvedev.
Recall that Head of the Altai Republic Alexander Berdnikov asked then-President Dmitry Medvedev to transfer property of the state unitary enterprise Chuyskoe in an area of 11.8 hectares in 2010. The land belonged to the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The President approvingly approached the idea of the Head of the republic and Chuyskoe was transferred to the republic with all its property and lands.
However, later, in 2011, it was found out that the land began to be actively withdrawn (people began to withdraw the most liquid assets), in connection with which, Medvedev instructed Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika to monitor the investigation of criminal cases related to the transfer of Chuyskoe to the ownership of the Republic.
In 2017, Chuskoye was declared bankrupt. As a result, its liquidation began, during which the bankruptcy administrator exposed new cases of transferring land to third-party companies. He appealed them to the Arbitrazh Court.
As a result, as follows from the judgments of the Arbitrazh Court of 2017, in 2014 90% of all lands were donated under a contract of assignment of lease rights to private companies.
Political scientist Andrey Kolyadin commented on what is happening in the republic. In his opinion, the reason for the arrival of such number of employees of the supervisory agency was lowest indicators (64.82% of votes) in the presidential elections in the country. So he can testify that Head of the republic Alexander Berdnikov did not make inroads with the elites, and its residents are dissatisfied with him.
In late May, a private Sud-Aviation Gazelle helicopter has crash-landed in the Khabarovsk krai. As a result, a 72-year-old man died from heart seizure. Another passenger has got a spinal fracture, while the third one – the pilot – came out of the accident with only a minor brain concussion. Later it became known that the deceased person was an FSB colonel general, the one with spinal fracture – a former overseer of the Khabarovsk krai, while a prominent Khabarovsk businessman had piloted the helicopter. The CrimeRussia obtained some exclusive information about this strange company.
