Author Zakhar Prilepin who took part in military actions in the east of Ukraine - in his interview with Redaktsiya project - has made boast of many murdered by his battalion. Prilepin says his battalion left others behind, according to indicators.
“Whatever they say, I was a head of a military division that killed many people. I don’t know how I’ll figure it out,” Prilepin stated.
The writer added the murdered do not visit him at night.
“They are just under the ground. They were just murdered. And there are many of them. All we did is barefaced lawlessness,” the author said.
“In a while, all the documents will be published, and everyone will learn where most of the people died,” Prilepin made boast of it.
The author noticed that he would not be prosecuted subsequently, after the pendulum turns to the other side. “I don’t really care about your courts. No one will place me in prison,” Prilepin said.
Zakhar Prilepin was a deputy commander of a battalion of the Special Forces of the the Donetsk People’s Republic. Ukraine’s authorities initiated a criminal case against him under articles related to participation in activities of a terrorist organization and financing of terrorism. The author left the self-proclaimed Republic in 2018.
