The abnormal situation aboard fallen An-148 developed in 2 minutes 30 seconds after take-off. According to preliminary data, the main cause of the accident was the icing of total pressure heads, the IAC believes.

The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) discloses first results of decoding the crashed An-148 flight recorders.

During the entire flight, as the specialists find out, the heating of all three total pressure heads (devices that collect air pressure data) was off.

Thus, "a preliminary analysis of the recorded information, as well as an analysis of similar cases that occurred in the past, let us suggest that the abnormal situation aboard could be caused by incorrect data on holding speed on the pilots' indicators, which, in turn, is aligned with the icing of total pressure heads out of heating systems off-state," the IAC says.
