AFK Sistema appeals court decision on dispute with Rosneft
The corporation appealed to the higher commercial court.
AFK Sistema intends to appeal the decision of the Chelyabinsk Court on the dispute with Rosneft in the Eighteenth Commercial Appeals Court of the city. Representative of AFK Sistema Sergey Kopytov told journalists about this on Tuesday.
According to him, the document outlines the company's position on the decision of the first instance court. But, as Kopytov stressed, the appeal is also an "indispensable stage" if the parties are ready to agree to an amicable settlement – it can be approved, according to the representative of Sistema, only within the framework of a judicial process.
As previously reported, the court sought in favor of Rosneft more than 130 billion rubles. The oil company, meanwhile, demanded more than 170 billion rubles from Sistema to compensate for the damage inflicted by Bashneft during the organizing the company in 2014.
