AFK Sistema appealed to Central Bank to investigate attempt of manipulation actions
Growth, and then collapse of actions in AFK Sistema is regarded as attempt of a manipulation of the stock market

Earlier the stock of AFK Sistema has grown up on news about the withdrawal of the claim of Rosneft for 170.6 billion rubles ($2.8bn). However, after a denial of this information stock value has sharply fallen.

AFK Sistema asks the Central Bank to conduct investigation after the incident with growth of stock quotations of the company, and then a sharp collapse. As the official representative of Sistema Sergey Kopytov declared, the company considers the event as attempt of a manipulation the stock market.

The Central Bank on inquiry of the Interfax agency to comment on a request of AFK Sistema declared: “We constantly trace the course of the exchange auction. At sharp change of stock quotations or the trading volumes the preliminary analysis with the purpose to find out whether there are no signs of a manipulation or insider trade is carried out”.

As the CrimeRussia wrote earlier, after distribution of information to media that the petition for withdrawal of the claim of Rosneft and Bashneft to AFK Sistema on 170,6 billion rubles came to Arbitration Court of Bashkiria, the last quotation have literally flown up. However after in Rosneft declared that the document which was sent to court - a fake, the cost of AFK Sistema in the market fell sharply (-7%).

To recall, Rosneft at the beginning of May, 2017 appealed to Arbitration Court of Bashkiria with the requirement to exact from AFK Sistema 106.6 billion rubles (then this sum was increased to 170.6 billion rubles) as indemnification which are allegedly suffered by Bashneft because of it reorganization in 2014.

Earlier, on June 2, chief executive officer of Rosneft Igor Sechin did not exclude a possibility of the conclusion of the settlement agreement in this claim to Sistema.
