Aeroflot calls Khabarovsk Governor to account for phrase about SSJ-100 crash
The region head blamed the crash on Superjet pilots.
Aeroflot representatives have responded firmly to the statement of Khabarovsk Region Governor, Sergey Furgal, that the pilots of the aircraft were to blame for the crash at Sheremetyevo. The company regards the statement of the official as an attempt to put pressure on the course of the investigation.
“The statement that the cause of the catastrophe is “100% human factor” is a blatant attempt to put pressure on the aviation committee and the investigating authorities,” Interfax cites the company representatives.
They also stressed that there was no official conclusion about the “perfect condition” of the aircraft that Furgal talked about.
Previously, the head of the Khabarovsk region, where Superjet is produced, stated that the plane that caught fire when landing at Sheremetyevo was fully operational.
Furgal is sure that the human factor was the cause of the disaster. The airline demanded that the official confirm his version. If Furgal cannot confirm his words, then Aeroflot requires an immediate official denial.
As previously reported by The CrimeRussia, the tragedy at the Moscow airport occurred on May 5 on the flight Moscow – Murmansk. The plane returned to the airport of departure, but caught fire after landing. The fire claimed the life of 41 people. Over two years of operation, about 700 malfunctions of various systems and five serious failures have been revealed.
