6 picketers supporting Ildar Dadin arrested next to FPS building in Moscow
Six picketers supporting Ildar Dadin have been arrested next to the Federal Penitentiary Service building in Moscow.
Elena Zakharova, Mariya Ryabikova, Pavel Kuznetsov, Mikhail Lashkevich, Leonid Dubrovo, and Tatiana Tarvid were arrested on Zhitnaya Street and then taken to the Yakimanka Department of Internal Affairs, according to the Dozhd TV Channel.
May we remind you that Ildar Dadin has been transferred from the IK-7 Prison, Republic of Karelia due to numerous violations during rallies in early December. It remains unknown where he has been transferred to.
Dadin is the first Russian citizen who has been prosecuted under the new law on rallying. The law was passed in 2014, as earlier reported by the CrimeRussia. Dadin was sent to IK-7, Town of Segezha, Republic of Karelia in September 2016. He managed to report on prison guards torturing inmates (hanging them by handcuffs, making them strip bare, and threatening with rape) through his attorney 2 month later.
In the meantime, a service inspection and pre-trial investigation failed to find anything that would prove Dadin’s claims. They did not find any signs of beating on his body. Valery Maksimenko, the Service Deputy Head, called Dadin a liar.
UK investigators believe they have identified the suspected perpetrators behind the Novichok nerve agent attack on the Skripals through CCTV and have cross-checked the footage with records of people who entered the country around that time.
