Four men of Uzbekistan were arrested in the Leningrad region on suspicion of beating and raping an elderly woman.

According to preliminary data, the pensioner was hit on the head from behind. The woman was hospitalized with head injuries and a fracture of the lower jaw. Doctors also found signs of sexual abuse.
It was the victim’s sister who called 112. Policemen and cynological officers arrived at the scene promptly. The service dog took the trail and led the law enforcement officers to the house where the alleged rapists were. They detained the four men and took them to the police station. The criminals were citizens of Uzbekistan aged between 27 and 40. They are going to be charged.
General’s son Mikhail Sal’nikov, Professor of the Department of Theory of Government and Law at the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Russian Federation, has been detained for real estate fraud. Amid other corruption crimes hitting the headlines, this offense does not seem a high-profile one. But the point is that this is not the first criminal case instituted against professor Sal’nikov, and he is not the only relative of MIA general Viktor Sal’nikov having problems with the law.
