19-year-old local goes missing following security officials’ visit in Dagestan
Relatives of the missing person say grenade had been planted during the searches.
Citizen of Dagestan’s Hasavyurt Abdula Magomedov has gone missing following searches carried out in his house, reports MediaZona with reference to the media office of a human rights center Memorial where relatives of the missing person reported. Relatives of the 19-year-old say grenade had been planted during the searches.
On February 4, armoured vehicle approached Magomedov’s house. 6 persons (4 of them were wearing civilian clothes and 2 - camouflage and with weapon in their hands) got out of the car. Two persons introduced themselves as witnesses to the search.
Relatives of the missing person say security officials did not show any identification. Grenade was found in the house during the searches. The house’s residents state it was planted.
After the searches, Magomedov was taken to an unknown destination. MIA’s department in Hasavyurt district stated the young man had not been taken to their division. Lawyer Madin Khanmagomedov made some requests to the police, as well as the district court and the Prosecution Service. court said that from February 4 to February 6 they did not receive any petitions for searches.
