Roskomnadzor has blocked 18 VPNs and proxy services, which provided an access to Telegram messenger. The press service of the department told Interfax. It was not specified which services have been blocked.

After the process of Telegram blocking started, founder of the messenger Pavel Durov began to pay grants in bitcoins to VPN and proxy administrators.

While restricting access to Telegram, Roskomnadzor blacklisted almost two tens of millions of IP-addresses related to cloud services of Google, Amazon and Microsoft. As a result, non-Telegram resources were affected. Also, the site of Roskomnadzor does not work properly, as the department reported DDoS-attacks.
