Alexey Koksharov, the deputy manager of the Nadym District Mayor’s Office, left his post after a scandal involving the disposal of portraits of former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. This was reported by a source in the municipality. Now the official is finalizing his last days in this position.
“He is no longer an employee of the administration,” the agency’s source briefly said. In an interview with reporters, Koksharov said that he could not comment on the situation.
Earlier, the administration of the Nadym District (YNAD) placed an auction on the disposal of office equipment and furniture on the government procurement website. The items included two portraits of former President Dmitry Medvedev. It was planned that the disposal of the portraits would cost the budget 633 rubles ($ 10) apiece. Koksharov was responsible for the publication of the order.
