Witness spent 7 hours in Investigative Committee to testify upon famous art director Serebrennikov’s case
After this, the investigators apologized to him.
The Investigative Committee delayed the interrogation of actor and musician Georgy Zakrevsky (Yuri Lobikov) in the case of The Seventh studio for six hours, RBC reports. Later, officers apologized and explained the delay by calling an ambulance.
According to the lawyer of artists and employees of Gogol Center Dmitry Horst, Lobikov was summoned to the ICR by 2:00pm on October 19. In the building he was admitted only at 3:49pm. The interrogation began at 8:10pm and ended at 9:21pm.
The investigation team apologized to Lobikov. The delay was explained by "objective reasons" - by calling an ambulance. Who needed the ambulance, it was not specified. The actor accepted an apology.
"People behaved correctly and reasonably," said the lawyer.
Yuri Lobikov is the grandson of bard Yuri Vizbor. The artist participated in the project Platforma of Kirill Serebrennikov. In September it was reported that all the artists and employees of Gogol Center were summoned for interrogation upon the Serebrennikov’s case.
Kirill Serebrennikov and the leadership of The Seventh Studio created by him are accused of embezzling 68 million rubles ($1.1m) from the budget allocated for the Platforma project. The project was aimed at popularizing the theatral art.
Earlier it was reported that to all the defendants of the Seventh Studio’s case the measure of restraint was prolonged until January 19, 2018. Serebrennikov, as well as general director of The Seventh Studio Yuri Itin and chief accountant of the company Nina Maslyaeva, who admitted her guilt, are under house arrest. Former general producer of the studio Alexey Malobrodsky is in custody.
On October 20, the court recognized the arrest of producer of The Seventh Studio Ekaterina Voronova, who left Russia in May 2017, in absentia as legal.
