Wife of FSO head earns nine times more husband in last year
The board member of the petrochemical company Sibur earned more than all the security officers.
The family income of the head of the Federal Security Service, Dmitriy Kochnev, over the past year amounted to about 100.6 million rubles ($ 1,5 million), of which more than 89 million rubles ($ 1,37) were earned by his spouse Marina Medvedeva. The incomes of the families of deputy heads of the FSO generally range from 4.7 to 7.1 million rubles ($ 72,000 – 110,000), with the exception of State Secretary Nikolay Kondratyuk (about 24.2 million rubles ($ 375,000)) and First Deputy Oleg Klimentyev (about 11.4 million rubles ($ 174,000)), it follows from published declarations.
According to RBC, since 2016 Medvedeva is a member of the board of the petrochemical company SIBUR. In 2008, she came to the company from TNK-BP on the recommendation of the consulting company Ward Howell. In addition, Medvedeva works as managing director for business processes, corporate services and corporate governance at SIBUR. In 2018, Kommersant included Medvedeva in the TOP 50 corporate governance directors.
