“The one in St. Petersburg is the most beautiful”: Putin objects to Kadyrov during meeting
The Russian president has held a meeting with the head of the Chechen Republic.
The Kremlin’s press service has published transcripts of talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. The Russian leader asked how the opening of the largest mosque in Europe went.
Kadyrov began with gratitude to Putin for supporting the Islamic world. Putin asked whether the new mosque really became the largest in Europe, to which the head of Chechnya confirmed and added that it was, in fact, “the most beautiful mosque in the world.”
