State Duma Vice Speaker Lebedev published video with voids in Duma's building
The building may be recognized as dangerous.
State Duma Deputy Chairman Igor Lebedev posted a video on his Twitter with voids found under the building of the lower house of parliament on Okhotny Ryad Street in Moscow. According to him, this indicates an emergency state of the building.
“The building of the State Duma can be recognized as dangerous at any time. The foundation has fallen into disrepair, numerous voids have formed in it,” Lebedev wrote.
Chairman of the Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sport, Tourism and Youth Affairs, Mikhail Degtyarev, supported Lebedev’s fears and expressed concern that the building might “finally cave in” at a Duma meeting on Tuesday, May 21.
State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin stated in response that “everything is being done” to underpin the building. He advised Degtyarev, who, like Lebedev, is a member of the Liberal Democratic Party, to tackle this issue at a faction meeting.
According to TASS, the renovation of the Duma building was scheduled for this summer.

The intel scandal involving Oleg Smolenkov, who had access to the Kremlin and possessed valuable information, has become a widely discussed topic. It was CNN who reported, citing sources in the CIA and Donald Trump administration, on the “informant” being evacuated from Russia in 2017. It turned out that for certain people in Russia, the spy’s disappearance was not a secret, while the Russian elite denied the fact of espionage in unison with the American one. The Smolenkov family was forced to leave their luxurious mansion in Virginia, and their current whereabouts are unknown. Smolenkov’s “patron,” Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation for the International Sector Yury Ushakov, continues to fulfill his duties. The CrimeRussia looked into the story of “exfiltration” of the top informant and the possible consequences of his work as an intelligencer.
