State Duma deputy Valery Gazzaev transpires to helm a Spanish company
According to the Municipal Scanner project, he is the Director of Spanish company MARCH-MURCH 2011 SL.
As it became known from the investigation published in the anti-corruption project Municipal Scanner, Valery Gazzaev, a well-known football coach and State Duma deputy from A Just Russia fraction, holds a position in a Spanish firm.
The declaration of the deputy for 2017 indicates the acquisition of a land plot and a house in Spain. The register of the owners of the Spanish firm suggests that Gazzaev is the Director of MARCH-MURCH 2011 SL, registered in the municipality of Estepona in Vaskongadas Street.
The same investigation reads that since 2018 his son Vladimir Gazzaev has also been the Director of another Spanish company, VGMO DEPORTES COSTA DEL SOL SL, based in Marbella, according to the database.
If this information is confirmed, then by law Valery Gazzaev will have to give up his deputy mandate.
An assistant to the deputy refused to comment on the information of the anti-corruption project, referring to a vacation in Spain.
In a conversation with Radio Svoboda (Liberty) the deputy himself called this investigation a bluff.
Publication Soviet Sport in mid-April named Valery Gazzaev the richest deputy among former sportsmen. In addition to his main post, the parliamentarian is the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma for Physical Culture and Sports. According to data on the website of the Lower House of the Russian parliament, his income for 2017 amounted to about 25.5 million rubles ($406.1 thousand).
