State Duma Deputy refused to remove obscene language from Facebook post after Volodin’s remark
According to Olga Alimova, the expressions chosen by her corresponded to the situation.
Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin appealed to deputies with a request not to use foul language in social networks.
“Let us fight this shortcoming,” said Volodin, mentioning a post of deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Olga Alimova and urging her to “work on” herself.
Alimova wrote on her Facebook page about postponing the schedule of plenary sessions using obscene language. The MP was outraged by the new office hours.
“Late risers defeated the mind! The communists demanded a return to the previous schedule from 10:00 to 18:00 with breaks according to the Labor Code,” she noted.
After the remarks of Volodin Alimova told RIA Novosti she was not going to delete her post on Facebook. The parliamentarian stressed that she was "overwhelmed with emotions," and the post corresponded to the situation.
“I think this is not very correct even concerning our citizens. They are hard-working people, and, I apologize, lawmakers sleep until 12 in order to work later ... ”, the deputy noted.
She highlighted that the post featured dots instead of obscene language, so she did not commit anything.
According to the latest data, the Duma Ethics Commission became interested in Alimova’s post. A check has started.
