Bill on security for Prosecutor General’s Office, Investigative Committee and Supreme Court passed in 1st reading
The private security will be created at the expense of the departments.
Deputies of the lower house of parliament by a majority vote (87,6%) adopted bill which grants the right for creation of departmental protection to the Prosecutor General’s Office (GP), the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR) and judicial department at the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation in the first reading on Wednesday, June 14.
As first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on safety Ernest Valeev noted taking into account that important information, in particular, materials of criminal cases, public prosecutor's, investigative checks, material evidences are stored in these bodies, questions of safety of this information and objects gain especially important character.
He added that each of the departments has funds for protection therefore additional expenses from the federal budget will not be required. Earlier the initiative was approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. As representative of the Cabinet of Ministers consider, the bill has to allow providing appropriate protection of objects of these departments.
In late May, a private Sud-Aviation Gazelle helicopter has crash-landed in the Khabarovsk krai. As a result, a 72-year-old man died from heart seizure. Another passenger has got a spinal fracture, while the third one – the pilot – came out of the accident with only a minor brain concussion.
