St. Petersburg police deny mass dismissals
According to local media, the unit is undergoing a reorganization process.
The Central Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg denies the dismissal of all 340 employees of the economic police. The agency said that it is not going to do massive downsizing in the near future, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
Earlier, Fontanka published a sample notice, copies of which were allegedly received by all employees of the Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Department.
According to the publication, the unit is being reorganized, so that the redundant employees would be transferred to the regional units and the remaining ones taken back later.
