Single voting day in Russia

September 8 is the single voting day in Russia. Elections will be held in 85 regions: governors will be elected in 16 regions, and heads of municipalities in 22 regional centers.

The single voting day has begun. The first polling stations opened in Kamchatka and Chukotka at 08:00 on September 8 local time (23:00 Moscow time on September 7). 

In the Kamchatka region, elections and by-elections of the heads and deputies of rural settlements are held. The Chukotka Autonomous District also elects deputies and heads of rural settlements in three municipal districts and the Anadyr urban district, TASS reports.

To recall, September 8 is the single voting day in Russia. Elections will be held in 85 regions: governors will be elected in 16 regions, and heads of municipalities in 22 regional centers. Elections in 13 regional legislative assemblies and by-elections to the State Duma will also take place.
