Sahak Karapetyan appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia
Karapetyan's candidacy fully complies with the qualification requirements.
The Federation Council appointed Sahak Karapetyan to the post of the Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia. So far, he led the General Directorate for International Legal Cooperation of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Development Andrey Klishas says that Karapetyan's candidacy fully complies with the qualification requirements.
In mid-November it became known that Sahak Karapetyan claimed for the post of the Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia. At the same time, in the same position the former Prosecutor of the Krasnodar region, Leonid Korzhinek, was appointed. After retirement of Sabir Kehlerov and Alexander Zvyagintsev the bench became free.
The ICR is checking into former Head of the Moscow Bureau of Forensic Expertise Evgeny Kildyushov and his deputy Oksana Doronina for using gray schemes of procurement and payment of salaries to ‘ghost employees’. Last week, the bureau was searched by the FSB.
