Russia to face Prohibition?
According to the politician, this restriction will have to be in effect until the authorities square away alcohol industry.
State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov offered Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova to introduce Prohibition in Russia, RIA Novosti reports this.
"The main part of my proposal is the introduction of a temporary dry law on the territory of the Russian Federation until the authorities square away alcohol industry," the report states.
In a letter to the Minister of Health, Milonov proposed to revise the mechanism for the alcohol retail, as well as the advertising of this product. He also noted that it is necessary to work out a strategy to combat the sale of low-quality alcohol.
Milonov stressed that even ruthless measures must be taken to prevent the possibility of cashing in on the health of Russians. As an example, he cited statistics, which indicates that alcoholism rates have increased several-fold over the past 25 years.
Earlier the deputy called to check deputies on abuse of alcohol at employment. Milonov also proposed to terminate an employee, if they misused alcohol.
