Rosneft spends 52 million rubles on its executives’ holidays in Cuba and Portugal
413 package tours in total were purchased.
According to Burovaya Telegram channel, Russian oil company Rosneft’s subsidiary RN-Yuganskneftegaz has spent 52.3 million rubles ($787 thousand) on its staff members’ holidays in Cuba and Portugal in 2018. The total of 413 package tours to these countries has been purchased.
The prices of the package tours for the company’s executives include a flight from Moscow to Havana and Lisbon, transfer service, hotel accommodation, 3-time meals, insurance, excursions, and health-improving services.
The package tours were bought at Havanatur Tour International and Kvinta Tur companies, with both registered in Moscow. They took Rosneft’s work contracts as their only supplier.
Havanatur Tour International has been cooperating with Rosneft since 2013. Apart from Yuganskneftegaz employees, RN-Purneftegaz, RN-Inform, RN-Burenie, and Vankorneft employees have visited Cuba at different times. Burovaya Telegram channel’s authors believe that the travel agency’s services are included in the partner package - an agreement concluded between Rosneft and Cuban companies. The key element in these relations is a contract with Union CubaPetroleo - the company Rosneft is developing reserves in Cuba’s beach resort town of Varadero along with.
Igor Sechin, Executive Chairman of Rosneft, is not shy about being interested in Cuba. While taking an office of Russia’s Deputy PM and being a part of Cuba-Russia Committee, he searched for ways for scientific and economic cooperation with this country.
According to Znak.com, earlier, employees of Rosneft’s subsidiary RN-Yuganskneftegaz spent New Year holidays in 2014 and May days in 2015 in Cuba. In December, 2014, the company purchased 157 million rubles ($2.3 million) package tours for its employees and their families from 71 subsidiary companies with RN-Yuganskneftegaz employees getting the most - 400 people went on vacation. The company spent 34.8 million rubles ($524.6 thousand) on their package tours.
