RBC: former Minister of Emergency Situations Vladimir Puchkov returns to department
A military pensioner works as the advisor to his successor on a voluntary basis.
Former Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov works at the Ministry on a voluntary basis as an adviser to his successor after his retirement, Evgeny Zinichev. It's a freelance and does not give preferences, according to RBC citing sources in the department. The press service of the Ministry rejected the information.
The status of the counselor on a voluntary basis allows him to visit the building of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the manner prescribed by the Minister, and also gives him the right to familiarize with certain official documents and participate in meetings of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Also, the adviser may undertake obligations of a ministerial representative.
Puchkov left the post of Head of the Emergencies Ministry on May 7, 2018, after six years of service. When the inauguration of President Vladimir Putin was held, the composition of the government changed. On May 18, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced a new government.
