Putin tells kids president should be a decent person
He added that a person with any job could become head of state.
Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke at a large open lesson Breakthrough Directions and said in an answer to a question that he did not choose a president career.
“A person with any job could be a president. However, those with either legal or economic knowledge tend to become heads of state. These professional skills are essential and useful,” Putin said.
“This is not the point; the point is that the person must make this very important decision: whether he is ready to devote a significant part of his life to this job. The second rule, like the doctor’s one: do no harm. A doctor must love a patient and try to both solve his problems and his own ones. This fully applies to heads of governments and states. The important thing is to be a decent person,” said Putin.
