Putin appointed Head and Deputy Head of FSB Bureau of Internal Affairs
The Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the appointment of the Head of the FSB Bureau of Internal Affairs (BIA) the former Chief of the 2nd service of the BIA Alexey Komkov. His first Deputy in the BIA FSB became the ex-Chief of the 1st service Anatoly Filippov.
According to the source of Novaya Gazeta in the FSB, the priorities of the new leadership will be the examination of results of the former leadership of main divisions of the central apparatus of the FSB and the implementation of operational materials with respect to federal government employees and regional authorities after the upcoming elections to the State Duma.
In early July, the Russian President Vladimir Putin withdrew from the post of the FSB's own security Department Head Sergey Korolev, appointing him to the post of the Head of the Economic Security Service.
