Peskov’s daughter told about benefits of education abroad of officials’ children
Daughter of the Russian President’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Elizaveta told her instagram followers about benefits of education abroad of the officials’ children.
She referred to initiatives of Peter I and called Russian citizens “subjects”.
She reminded that yet Peter I saw benefits of education abroad: “Those who believe that patriots should stud only in their country are either not very familiar with the history or do not consider Peter I authoritative”.

On behalf of Elizaveta Peskova in her Instagram account commented on media reports on an appeal of the Presidential Administration to return home the Russian officials’ children, who study abroad.
Peskova considers this initiative harmful, telling that personally her education abroad “does not contradict the idea of patriotism”. She does not directly answer the question whether she is going to return to Russia or not. “It is necessary to make people want live in the country, not to hold them violently. As they say, love can't be forced”, she writes.
Elizaveta reminded that yet Peter I saw benefits of foreign education in comparison with Russian: “Those who believe that patriots should stud only in their country are either not very familiar with the history or do not consider Peter I authoritative. This tsar realized importance of education abroad for development of the state. Therefore he begun to carry out reforms, paying special attention to the focus to Europe, for which purpose thousands of young people went to study abroad… Yes, someone did not return, preferring to connect their life with other country, this is also happening nowadays”.
“Having an experience of life in Europe and communication with residents of other states, Russian "subjects" will have not only congenital Russian, but also the European thinking. It will lead to improvement of international relations, understanding of foreign vision of the world”, it is also told on behalf of Peskova.
The Deputy from the Edinaya Rossiya party of last convocation Evgeny Fedorov in 2014 suggested forbidding government employees, whose close relative live abroad, to work in structures of the Russian authorities. However members of the State Duma, many children of whom study or live abroad, received this idea without enthusiasm.
