Perm region: deputies leave honorary citizens without payment

In the Perm region, deputies of the Krasnokamsk Duma have revoked cash payments to honorary citizens of the city. The decision was made after the Ministry of Finance classified the payments as “non-core expenses.” This is reported by Kommersant-Prikamye.
Representatives of the City Duma explained to journalists that payments for residents who have been already granted the status of “honorary citizen” may still remain. However, starting from June 1, new honorary citizens will not receive financial remuneration.
It concerns the payment of cash in the amount of 2000 rubles ($30) per month. In total, there are 30 residents in Krasnokamsk, who have this status.
