Minkavkaz Head calls shadow business reason for huge gas and light
According to him, the total debt for energy exceeds 120 billion rubles in the North Caucasus.
The main reason for gas and electricity debts in the North Caucasus is the high level of shadow business, Head of Minkavkaz Sergey Chebotarev states.
“Underground enterprises, whether brick, oil refinery or greenhouse, work illegally, but at the same time consume gas and light. The payment for energy resources is shifted to the population and officially operating enterprises and organizations,” said Chebotarev. According to him, the elimination of underground enterprises will reduce energy loss. At the same time, the Minister noted that the residents do not live differently.
According to him, the total debt for energy exceeds 120 billion rubles in the North Caucasus. Chebotarev called this figure "enormous." Recall, the Zavodskoy District Court of Chechnya wrote off 9 billion of the population’s debts for gas. This decision caused a comprehensive public response. Other regions also began to demand to write off debts for gas following the example of Chechnya. According to Gazprom Mezhregiongaz, as of December 1, arrears for gas in Chechnya amounted to 16.161 billion rubles, of which the population accounts debts for 13.219 billion. Later, the Chechen Supreme Court canceled the write-off of debts. But the Head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, expressed hope that the obligation for gas would be forgiven.
The detention is related to the investigation into the abduction and murder of Tatyana Sidorova, a deputy of the Ramenskoye District Legislature, and three members of her family, which occurred back in 2012.
