Mayor of Omsk suffers from municipal lawlessness by falling into puddle during inspection of damaged homes
Oksana Fadina decided to visit the city’s troubled facilities. However, roads in Omsk turned into rivers following great big rain, and the mayor fell into a puddle.
Citizens of Omsk are complaining about flooded roads and pavements: the streets have gone under water due to heavy rain that lasted for only 30 minutes. However, the locals say the city’s storm-collector system does not work, reports Komsomolskaya pravda.
Mayor of the city Oksana Fadina has suffered from the municipal lawlessness. She carried out inspection after the rain. The official visited a yard of a house where citizens had complained about the wrecked walls. Fadina tried to jump over a huge puddle, but slipped down and fell in the mud. The video was posted by Mash Telegram channel.
In spite of the embarrassment, the mayor continued her inspection and asked to renovate the house in order for the water not to reach the building’s foundation.
“I had to fall over. The topic is quite demonstrative. For one thing, your mayor is not a person shirking rough or dirty work. We’ve got a lot to learn,” the city administrator commented upon the incident.
The intel scandal involving Oleg Smolenkov, who had access to the Kremlin and possessed valuable information, has become a widely discussed topic. It was CNN who reported, citing sources in the CIA and Donald Trump administration, on the “informant” being evacuated from Russia in 2017. It turned out that for certain people in Russia, the spy’s disappearance was not a secret, while the Russian elite denied the fact of espionage in unison with the American one. The Smolenkov family was forced to leave their luxurious mansion in Virginia, and their current whereabouts are unknown. Smolenkov’s “patron,” Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation for the International Sector Yury Ushakov, continues to fulfill his duties. The CrimeRussia looked into the story of “exfiltration” of the top informant and the possible consequences of his work as an intelligencer.
