Kuzbass governor insults inhabitants of the region, advising them to take better care of their health and appearance
Sergey Tsivilev advised citizens to take care of their health and appearance.
Kuzbass governor insults inhabitants of the region, calling them “shapeless bodies sitting on a couch drinking beer and watching TV.” He advised them to take better care of their health and appearance, Kommersant reports.
Tsivilev made his statement at a conference of the regional branch of United Russia on Monday.
“We need to change the mindsets of the Kuzbass residents. If you do not care of your health on time, then all you will do later is seek treatment,” the Kuzbass governor said.
Earlier on, Tsivilev urged women to clean the windows and put flowers on the windowsills to improve the appearance of the region’s cities. In addition, at one of the sessions of the regional council, the governor criticized the leader of the regional branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, who came to the meeting wearing a turtleneck, and not a “good suit, with a badge and a tie.”
Sergey Tsivilev became the head of the Kemerovo region in 2018. Prior to him, the region was headed by Aman Tuleev, who held his post from 1997 to 2018 and resigned after the fire in the Zimnyaya Vishnya mall, which killed 64 people.
