Krasnodar Region: four deputies, who concealed more than $ 760,000 of income, dismissed
Earlier in the Kuban, a deputy, living in the United Arab Emirates, resigned.
In the Kuban, deputies of the Bryukhovetsky District Council Konstantin Bykanov, Vladimir Vinchenko, Alexander Manishenko, and Anatoly Safronov were removed from their offices after a prosecutor's check, during which concealment of property was discovered. The deputies did not indicate more than 50 million rubles ($ 763,000) of income, four real estate items, two cars and 11 bank accounts in the declarations for 2016 and 2017, Yuga.ru reported.
On January 31, RBC wrote about the dismissal of Krasnodar City Council deputy Irina Mammaeva, who was elected in 2015 in the municipal electoral district from United Russia. Mammaeva has ceased to participate in the city’s political life, having moved to the UAE. In 2017, the ex-deputy indicated 324,200 rubles ($ 5,000) in her income statement, her husband – 1.4 million rubles ($ 21,000).
Despite such a small income, according to the declaration, the Mammaevs own an apartment of 111.2 square meters, a Bentley Continental GT G, a BMW 750 and a Mercedes Benz G63 AMG, two non-residential premises, with a quarter share in an apartment in the UAE, with an area of 499 square meters and land plot of 703 square meters.
Mass protest rallies have been taking place in Moscow on a regular basis since the beginning of this summer. People are protesting for lots of different reasons. However, the reaction of the law enforcement authorities is always the same: repression. What is the reason behind the brutality shown during the dispersion of mass rallies? A conscious intimidation policy or incompetence of law enforcement functionaries escalating the violence and unable to imagine the potential consequences of this?
