Kadyrov explains why the West imposed sanctions against him
The politician allegedly annoys Europe by upholding the interests of the Chechen Republic.
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, allegedly came under the sanctions of the United States and Europe, for defending the interests of the republic, Kadyrov himself said live on Instagram. The politician also added that he is not willing to travel to Europe, because he finds the Caucasus better.
“I defend my republic, my people and faith. And so I'm proud to be on these lists. It's nice when you have enemies only because you are for justice,” Kadyrov said.
Kadyrov added that the ban on entry into a number of Western countries does not scare him, because he does not want to go there – the Chechen mountains are enough. “I want to go there. The body and mind rest there,” the head of Chechnya said.
It is to be recalled that Kadyrov was included in the Magnitsky List as a person involved in the death of the auditor of the Hermitage Capital fund Sergey Magnitsky. The auditor claimed that he had revealed a 5.4 billion rubles ($82 million) tax fraud scheme in which government officials were involved.
