Ivanov was removed from post of Head of Presidential Administration
Sergey Ivanov dismissed from the post of the Head of the presidential Administration. To his post it was appointed Anton Vaino, who held the post of Deputy Head of the presidential Administration since 2012.
Ivanov was appointed as the special representative of the President on environmental and transport activities.
According to the information on the website of the Kremlin, Ivanov took part in a meeting with President Vladimir Putin last time as the Head of the Presidential Administration on 11 August, when there was the meeting with the Security Council.
The new Head of the Presidential Administration was appointed Anton Vaino, who previously held the post of Ivanov’s Deputy. Vaino is included in the Russian Security Council. His place in the Security Council Sergey Ivanov has also retained.
The capital of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) faces mass protests provoked by the rape of a local woman by a migrant worker from Kyrgyzstan. The criminal was promptly detained.
