Governor of the Irkutsk region, Sergey Levchenko, said that the assistant to the head of the press service of the regional government Irina Alashkevich, who is considered guilty of insulting residents affected by the flood, could suffer from ill-wishers.
A scandal erupted around Alashkevich after a post was published on the Web on which she calls the flood victims “bums” and “scum.” The head of the region said the recording showed signs of installation.
“I immediately said for more objectivity to request at least one more examination or two,” the head of the region said about his intention. It will take a week for additional examinations, after which a decision will be made whether the official will continue to work at her workplace or not. Meanwhile the woman was sent on vacation.
As soon as the scandal erupted, Alashkevich said the record was falsified.
As a result of the leash in the Irkutsk region, 25 people were killed, 6 more are still considered missing.
In the first wave of the flood, 10.9 thousand houses were flooded, where 42.7 thousand people lived, in the second – 1.9 thousand houses inhabited by 5.3 thousand people.
