Internal Affairs staff fired for divulging secrets at Police Day party

Some secret information was disclosed.

The chief and employees of the covert surveillance department No. 2 of the MIA search unit for the Rostov Region have been fired after the Police Day party.

The security officers were having a good time on the November, 10 holiday. The presenter wished the department a happy birthday at the request of one of the employees. Doing so, she pronounced the full name of the unit, Channel 360 reports, citing a source in law enforcement.

On November 12, the head of the department and all those who were present at the party were dismissed from the service for misconduct. The exact number of those fired is not reported. Police linked the sacking with the disclosure of secret information, while the Interior Ministry refused to comment on the incident officially.

The search unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is considered one of its most secret departments. According to open sources information, the staff of the unit monitors both the police and civilians.
