Interim governors to account for income
The State Duma approved the corresponding draft law in the first reading.
The bill, obliging the interim heads of regions to report their incomes, passed the first reading in the State Duma.
According to the document, now, interim governors will be obliged to provide such information within 15 days from the date of appointment to the post. The information will be posted on the Internet on the official websites of state bodies of the country subjects.
We add that the author of the initiative was Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Billionaire Viktor Vekselberg has repaid loans in the amount of $1 billion taken from the Western banks. Earlier, his Renova Group had received state support from Promsvyazbank. Renova representatives say they have repaid the loan with the company’s own funds.
