"I fell in love with his generosity and big heart." Navka on family life with Peskov, Putin’s spokesman
The spokesman of the Russian president had twice been married before he proposed to the Olympic champion.
Tatiana Navka, the Russian Olympic figure skating champion, opened up about the family life with Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, who had been married twice before marrying her. The interview was on the show Sudba Cheloveka.
In addition to a daughter he and Navka have in common, Peskov has three sons and an adult daughter. Navka first became a mother 18 years ago when she was married to figure skater Alexander Zhulin. Tatiana admitted that her daughter had a hard time establishing rapport with Peskov despite his high state office, but now she treats him like family.
According to Navka, Peskov’s children live with them. “We educate them, scold them, love them, go on vacations together. We have a big family with its own issues and its own moments. Of course, all of his children are family to me, I love them,” the figure skater said.
Navka also said that her youngest daughter, Nadezhda, was born “a guardian angel that unites the whole family.” According to her, Peskov’s children “simply adore” the girl. It was for her that she and Peskov decided to get married in the first place.
She added that she had fallen in love with the president’s spokesman "for his generosity and a big heart; men like him are scarce nowadays."
According to media reports, Peskov’s first son, Nikolay, is now 28 years old. He was born in the press secretary’s first marriage, with Anastasia Budennaya. Peskov was 27 in 1994 when he married the 18-year-old Ekaterina Solotsinskaya. She gave birth to three children - two sons and a daughter, in that marriage.
Six months ago, no one could predict the state of the MIA General Administration for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region by the time of the forthcoming elections. After the appointment of Moscow general Roman Plugin in charge of it, the St. Petersburg police has undergone significant changes. Major general of justice Oleg Antropov, Head of the Main Investigations Directorate, is ‘the last man standing’ from the old command of the MIA General Administration. Most probably, he is going to become the next victim of ‘janitor’ Plugin.
