The head of Ingushetia noted that he was personally acquainted with Raul and Rauf Arashukov, but completely excluded their influence on the processes in the republic.

“I’ve known both Arashukov Sr. and Jr. If you were to just speak to Rauf, he’s more laid back, whereas his father... Nevertheless, they had no influence on the republic, no business or lobby in the republic. It had nothing to do with the republic,” Yevkurov said.

To recall, Senator Rauf Arashukov was detained at a closed meeting of the Federation Council on January 30. Soon after that, his father, cousin Ruslan, and several top-managers of southern divisions of the company Gazprom Mezhregiongaz, were detained.
