The former “state did not ask you to have children” official tells about her dreams.
Head of the Youth Policy Department of the Sverdlovsk region, Olga Glatskikh, who became infamous after saying “the state did not ask you to have children,”said she wanted to return to politics. As Glatskikh told in an interview with Momenty portal, she dreamed of becoming a State Duma deputy since her childhood.
“It was my childhood dream. My dad then worked as the first deputy mayor of Lesnoy, and I told him that I wanted to be a State Duma deputy,” the former official said. The girl recalled that she had a political scientist diploma issued by the Lomonosov Moscow State University and wanted to return to the political arena.
According to the former gymnast, the fact that a large number of athletes join politics is a trend for Russia, since “it is difficult for them.”
“Everyone is making fun of them, but no one understands what psychological stress they get when they end their career. Apparently, this is where the state goes to their rescue,” the former official assumed.
According to her, many Olympic champions who have become deputies cope with their duties well.
As previously reported by The CrimeRussia, after leaving the government of the Sverdlovsk region due to the scandal, the ex-official took the post of deputy head at the Sports Games Palace in Yekaterinburg. It soon became known the contract would not be renewed with the head of the institution, who held this post for 16 years. Sources said that Glatskikh was to blame, as she would replace the Palace head.
