FSB General appointed chief federal inspector in Krasnoyarsk Territory
Earlier, Sergey Blinov headed the FSB in the Orel and Volgograd regions.
Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation President in the Siberian Federal District Sergey Menyaylo, appointed Lieutenant-General of the Federal Security Service Sergey Blinov as the chief federal inspector on the Krasnoyarsk Territory. By another order, Nikolay Kholodov, who previously worked in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, was appointed the chief inspector in the Republic of Khakassia.
Sergey Blinov has been working in the bodies of the USSR KGB (its antecessor is Federal Security Service of Russia) since September 1989. In 2009, he was led the FSB in the Orel region. His activities often affected political issues. In January 2012, Blinov was transferred to Volgograd. Now he is dismissed to the reserve in the rank of Lieutenant-General. He was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the IV degree, medals of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the 1st and 2nd degree, the Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation. He is married and has a son.
Saburova believes that the Russian authorities violated articles 2 and 5 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, guaranteeing the right to life, as well as the right to freedom and personal inviolability.
