Rostech’s top manager has headed the Board of Directors of the United Aircraft Building Corporation.
Former Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov became head of the board of directors of the United Aircraft Building Corporation (OAK), which also includes the Sukhoi Superjet aircraft manufacturer, the press service of the corporation reported.
“On May 8, 2019, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the United Aircraft Building Corporation (PJSC OAK) was held. The Board members elected Anatoly Serdyukov as chairman of the board,” the statement reads.
Serdyukov works as industrial director of Rostech’s aviation cluster. From 2007 to 2012, he headed the Ministry of Defense and was suspended due to a corruption scandal. Later, a criminal case of negligence was initiated against Serdyukov, but in 2014 it was terminated due to amnesty, timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
