Former Defense Minister Serdyukov becomes vice-president of Russian Engineering Union
After a high-profile corruption scandal, the ex-official moved to Rostech.
Former Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov took the post of vice-president of the Russian Engineering Union, the press service of the organization reports. Earlier, he also received the position of industrial director of the aviation cluster of Rostech State Corporation. In addition, he is in the board of directors of about 30 companies.
In 2013, a criminal case of negligence was initiated against the ex-head of the Ministry of Defense, but the following year, the defendant came under an amnesty. In November 2013, the former minister became CEO of the Federal Research Center for Mechanical Engineering, part of the Rostech holding.
