Ex-Defense Minister Serdyukov earned $943.150 in 2017
Now the former Minister holds a leading position in Rostec.
Ex-Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov declared 60 million rubles ($943.150) for 2017. The bill is posted on the Rostec website, where the official holds the post of industrial director of the state corporation aviation complex.
At the same time, the income of Serdyukov's wife Julia Zubkova, the daughter of former vice-premier Viktor Zubkov, reached 59 million rubles ($927.500). However, a year earlier Serdyukov declared different amount - in 2016 he earned 328 million rubles ($5.1m), and Zubkova - 60 million.
According to SPARK-Interfax database, Serdyukov is also a member of the many state companies boards (Russian Helicopters, United Aircraft Corporation, Technodinamika). Also, Serdyukov is the co-owner of the Ordynka-40 company (investments in securities).
Serdyukov was involved in the criminal case over embezzlement at Oboronservis, the main defendant of which was ex-head of the property relations department of the Russian Defense Ministry Yevgenya Vasilyeva; he also provoked a scandal with tenants of the elite house, which the home unit company head he is. Neighbors complained that the official doubled the payment of public utilities.

In the meantime, the Russian legislators have adopted new laws restricting the development of the Russian-speaking segment of the world wide web. The 'fake news' and 'internet insults' laws adopted under the pretext of protecting the society from manipulations and threat, including external ones, violate the Constitution and some federal laws in relation to the right to search for, obtain, and use information. Furthermore, the bill on ‘sovereign Internet’ passed in the first reading by the State Duma leads us directly to self-isolation.
