“Criminal case could be built of any board of directors.” Putin call for changing of Criminal Code’a article on creation of criminal community
The President of the Russian Federation believes article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation has to be reviewed.
During the live broadcast nationwide phone-in, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has called the State Duma and experts for reviewing of article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Creation of a criminal community and participation therein) towards business. He says at the present time, “criminal case could be built of any board of directors.”
“We have to work on it on an expert level. Legal Department and the Administration of the President have to deal with it. The Duma ought to think it over,” Putin said.
Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights Boris Titov had earlier offered to give up on article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The ombudsman stated the article had to be complemented with a note regarding non-prosecution of parties under articles related to swindling.
Report of the business-ombudsman to the President stated that in these recent times, parties who committed economical crimes are more often additionally accused under article 210. That way, preliminary investigation was extended. So did terms for businessmen.
Russians have been standing for their rights more aggressively since the controversial pension reform, worsened financial situation and social unrest against the background of the elections to the Moscow City Duma.
