Court employees may lose right to have their own business
The corresponding bill is submitted to the State Duma.
The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation introduced a bill "On the Russian Federation's state judicial service" to the State Duma. The document deprives the court employees the right to engage in entrepreneurial or other gainful activity. An exception may be done for working as a teacher or researcher, or other creative activities.
In addition, the draft states that the judicial officer must avoid conflicts that could harm not only his reputation, but also the authority of the judiciary.
The bill defines the maximum age of the judicial serviceman - 65 years. The extension may be done for judicial officers, replacing the position of judicial serviceman of the higher group of posts - up to 70 years.
