Company related to Prigozhin to get $45.2mn for supplying food to Moscow hospitals
The firm has won a sizable state contract.
The firm affiliated with businessman Evgeny Prigozhin has won the right to conclude government contracts for the supply of products to medical institutions of Moscow. This is reported by Daily Storm.
The tenders were held in December last year. The total amount of the government contract is about 3 billion rubles ($45.2 million). Sotsialnoe Pitanie Tsentr LLC, Verona, and Vilmap took part in the bidding, however, the first applicant received all the orders. The company offered a price of only a couple hundred thousand rubles lower than its competitors.
The publication notes that Sotsialnoe Pitanie Tsentr LLC is related to the food production facility Konkord, which, according to a number of media sources, belongs to prominent businessman Evgeny Prigozhin.
In particular, Tsentr’s website indicates that it will attract Konkord as co-executor on the state contract with the lyceum. A source in the Crimean management of Rospotrebnadzor also confirmed the connection between the organizations (in 2015, Tsentr supplied food to the international children's center Artek).
