Chubais told how he copes with being blamed for everything
The politician said that he understood everything, but he “would like it to be not him after all.”
Politician Anatoly Chubais spoke about his attitude to the phrase “Chubais is to blame for everything”
He stated knowingly that in the 1990s people needed someone to blame. But then he added that “I wish it would not be me after all”.
The head of Rosnano admits that he fell into the same line with Baba Yaga and Koshchei Bessmerrtny. In practice, this is manifested in a high negative rating. Chubais also commented on his colleagues: “The political world is organized according to its own laws. <...> If you kicked this one, with a negative rating <...> you got a positive.”
But the politician admitted that he was not offended at all, that in Russia there were a lot of red cats named Chubais. He is sure that people treat pets well.
In 1991–1994, Chubais was the chairman of the Russian State Committee on State Property Management. After that, he served as deputy head of the government of the head of the presidential administration.
The phrase “Chubais is to blame for everything” was first spoken in the comic program “Kukly” on the NTV TV channel. Its prototype was a statement by former Russian President Boris Yeltsin.
