Chechnya to get budget billions once again

The Chechen Republic will receive 12.8 billion rubles ($197 million) from the state budget.

Chechnya will receive more than 10 billion rubles from the All-Russian state budget in order to eliminate a three-shift education in the schools of the Republic.

Other republics of the North Caucasus will receive 35.2 billion rubles ($501 million), Head of the Ministry for the Affairs of the North Caucasus, Sergey Chebotarev, said. He explained that 10.6 billion ($163.5 million) will be spent on the construction of schools in Chechnya.

There are only 70 schools in the Republic that work in three shifts with only 180 thousand places for 278 thousand students. According to Chebotarev, there is a need for 19 new educational institutions.

To recall, the Chechen Republic is in the list of regions that are most dependent on federal money with about 81% of subsidies.
